The Society
The Trethewey Beach Society was formed in 1959 under an agreement with Edward (Ernie) Trethewey who had subdivided his land into lots sold to individuals. The residual land adjacent to the lake (Lot A District Lot 8 Plan NEP 81644) was established as a private park owned by the Society. The Society is registered under the BC Societies Act and is governed by a Board of Directors through a set of by-laws in its constitution.
